Observers Call Security Preparations For The G20 Bali Summit Maximum

Military and intelligence observer Ridlwan Habib assessed that the security preparations for the G20 Summit had been maximized, including support from the intelligence community.

"Indonesian security and intelligence forces have worked hard for the past few months preparing this event, it's totally out," said Ridlwan, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 13, 2022.

The Director of The Indonesia Intelligence Institute explained that intelligence preparation activities consist of investigations, raising and security.

"Of course, the three activities are closed and cannot be described openly. But the principle is to ensure that the G20 Summit is safe, smooth, and magnificent," said Ridlwan.

Ridlwan Habib assessed that Russia's concern about President Putin's security to attend the G20 Summit was certainly excessive.

"They may be paranoid because they are in a war situation in Ukraine. Even though the situation is very safe, the proof is Joe Biden and Xi Jinping will attend," said Ridlwan.

Intelligence from the United States and China must have carried out an intelligence assessment of the Bali situation before their president came.

"That means, Bali is safe. The CIA and MSS in China confirmed it by providing recommendations to President Biden and Xi Jinping to come," he also said.

Ridlwan assessed that Indonesia's intelligence preparations were 100 percent. Of course, he continued, the entire intelligence community is in the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), General (Ret.) Budi Gunawan as Head of BIN worked hard even though it was quiet.

"The intelligence work must be silent, but successful," said Ridlwan.
