Cagub Mahyeldi Jago PKS Outstanding In West Sumatra Pilkada, Fakhrizal Congratulations By Phone

JAKARTA - Candidate for the Governor of West Sumatra Mahyeldi said that Cagub Fakhrizal and a number of regents and mayors had congratulated him after being declared superior in the 2020 West Sumatra Governor Election based on the results of the quick count and C1 recapitulation of witnesses from all TPS.

"Pak Fakhrizal has called me and congratulated me," said Mahyeldi in Padang, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 10.

Mahyeldi said that on the afternoon of December 9, Fakhrizal planned to come directly to the winning post to congratulate him. However, because Mahyeldi was not there, he finally congratulated him over the phone.

"Several regents and mayors have also sent congratulations to me," he said.

Mahyeldi assessed that all the candidates for the Governor of West Sumatra who took part in the pilgub this time were great people so that the votes were competing and the people had difficulty making choices.

"Fakhrizal is a great police general, Mulyadi is a West Sumatra figure, Nasrul Abit is the Deputy Governor, all of them are great so that the difference in votes is not large," he said.

Mahyeldi appreciated other governor candidates who have competed in the 2020 Pilkada.

"If they were not there then we could not be like now, the other six candidates are West Sumatra figures who are extraordinary and have many advantages," he said.

Mahyeldi already considered Fakhrizal like a teacher and with his representative Genius Umar had interacted for a long time since he was in DPD RI.

Meanwhile Mulyadi is a junior high school friend in Bukitinggi and Ali Mukhni is a successful regional head in Padang Pariaman.

Then Nasrul Abit is a senior in the government. He admitted that he communicated a lot when he was still Deputy Mayor of Padang.

"Indra Catri, apart from being Agam, also goes to SMA 1 Bukittinggi," he said.

The final results of the C1 recapitulation of the West Sumatra Governor Candidate pair number 4 Mahyeldi-Audy Joinaldy stated that the PKS and PPP candidates were superior in the West Sumatra Pilgub.

"C1 is a document collected by witnesses from all polling stations in West Sumatra, based on the final results of the recap of Mahyeldi-Audy Joinaldy winning 32.64 percent of votes," said Head of DPW West Sumatra Prosperous Justice Party, Irsyad Safar.

According to him, at the 2020 West Sumatra Pilgub, PKS sent 12,547 witnesses to all existing polling stations, and all C1 recaps had been 100 percent collected.

From the real calculation, the pair number 1 Mulyadi-Ali Mukhni received 27.48 percent, the pair number 2 Nasrul Abit-Indra Catri 30.05 percent and pair number 3 Fakhrizal-Genius Umar 9.83 percent.

"There is a difference between Mahyeldi-Audy 2.5 percent or 57 thousand votes with Nasrul Abit-Indra Catri," he said.
