PAM Jaya has placed seven clean water kiosks in the Muara Angke area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, which are spread over a number of points. This water kiosk was built on land owned by residents who are willing to be appointed as managers.

PAM Jaya President Director Arief Nasrudin revealed that one water kiosk is able to serve up to 20 families. The seven water kiosks inaugurated today can supply up to 84 thousand liters of water every day.

Residents can buy clean water at a rate of IDR 400 per jerry can or equivalent to 20 liters if they take water directly at a water kiosk. Meanwhile, residents will be charged a tariff of IDR 1,200 per 20 liters if water is delivered to their respective homes using a cart.
Then, residents who manage water kiosks will receive payments of IDR 3,550 per 1,000 liters of water and are not progressive. Arief said this tariff is in accordance with the IIIA tariff group in Governor Regulation Number 11 of 2007.
Arief continued, in the future, PAM Jaya will procure motorcycle carts to deliver water to residents' homes. According to him, carts that are moved using human force are immediately less effective.
"I will also turn the cart into a motorcycle cart later. So, there are no more people in Jakarta who use cart pull. Jakarta is already a metropolitan city. We have to humanize everything in Jakarta, especially for water," said Arief.
Currently, PAM Jaya has built around 172 water kiosks that are spread across North Jakarta and West Jakarta. The target of water kiosk users is low-income people (MBR).
