South Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. officer Deni Andrias said his party received a report of the fire on Tuesday, November 8, at 05.50 WIB.

The incident started with a gas cylinder leak in a warteg restaurant which caused the fire to spread. When the incident happened, residents tried to extinguish the fire, but the fire became big and spread to the house next to it.

"The fire grew and then spread to Mr. Widi's house (48), then Mr. Widi went to the Tebet sector office," Deni said in his statement, Tuesday, November 8.

A total of 12 firefighters and 50 personnel were deployed. Luckily the fire was extinguished even though it took two hours.

"At 05.58 WIB, we started to extinguish it, at 06.55 WIB it was cooling down and declared finished at 07.53 WIB," he said.

Danis confirmed there were no casualties in the fire incident. However, the amount of loss reached Rp. 400 million.

"Losses of approximately Rp. 400 million," he concluded.
