The Perpetrator Of The ART Murder In Kelapa Gading Was Arrested, The Motive Was Heart Out Of Love

JAKARTA - The police arrested a man with the initials DT (31) on suspicion of the murder of a female domestic assistant (ART) with the initials ANS (26). According to the police statement, the perpetrator and the victim were lovers. DT is suspected of molesting ANS because he was hurt by his breakup.

Kelapa Gading Police Chief, Commissioner Vokky H Sagala explained, the persecution took place on Jalan Kelapa Nias, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, last Sunday, October 23.

The incident began when the victim said goodbye to her employer to meet the suspect, to solve the problem.

At that time the victim met the perpetrator, because he wanted to return the goods to the suspect and cut off his relationship because he had another lover.

"The background motive is the suspect's heart hurt. Because the victim broke up with a boyfriend and already has a new boyfriend," Vokky told reporters at the Kelapa Gading Police, Monday, November 7.

Based on CCTV footage at 21.44 WIB, the victim and the perpetrator got into an argument. At that time the perpetrator was upset and abused the victim by banging his head at the iron pole. Until finally the victim died, the perpetrator threw the victim away.

"Recognizing the victim's murder by strangling the victim's neck using both hands and hitting his head twice," he said.

Knowing that ANS was dead, DT dumped his body on the edge of a ditch behind an electric substation on Jalan Kelapa Nias.

Vokky said that the victim's body was found for the first time last November 4 by a public street lighting worker.

Based on this information, the police immediately went to the crime scene (TKP) and examined the condition of the body of the victim who had died for about 12 days.

"We were assisted by the Inafis team so we were able to identify the perpetrators from fingerprints. The perpetrator was arrested on November 5 at his home in Sumur Batu," he concluded.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning murder and faces up to 15 years in prison.
