DEPOK MS, the perpetrator of domestic violence (KDRT) who hit his wife in front of his child in the Cinere area of Depok, has been arrested. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Depok Metro Police, AKBP Yogen Heroes Baruno revealed that the husband and wife (couple) had separated.

"Not yet divorced. The perpetrator and the victim have been separated from their homes for a long time, it's been about a year apart from their homes," said Yogen at the Depok Metro Police, Monday, November 7.

At the time of the beating, Yogen continued, in a situation where the perpetrator and the victim met. They met because they wanted to discuss a problem.

"At that time the perpetrator asked the victim to meet," he said.

However, after being picked up at the victim's boarding house, MS intended to invite him to eat first. But the victim refused until the perpetrator felt annoyed and slammed his motorbike.

The perpetrator then slammed his motorbike on the road, lowering the victim and child because he was still emotional. The perpetrator then beat the victim three times towards the victim's face," he said.

It turned out that the beating was recorded by residents and posted to social media. This has also become a public conversation.

The police who received the information immediately arrested the perpetrator in the Cinere area, Sunday, November 6. The perpetrators were recently handed over to the Depok Metro Police.

For his actions, Article 44 of the Domestic Violence Law is subject to the threat of a sentence of more than 5 years.
