Starting From Surut, Jakarta Floods Are Still Empty Of 10 RTs In East Jakarta

JAKARTA - A number of flood points that have submerged hundreds of RTs in Jakarta since yesterday have receded this morning. The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) explained that there are still 10 RTs in Jakarta as of 09.00 WIB.

"BPBD recorded that the current inundation is 10 RT or 0.033 percent of the 30,470 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area," said Head of Disaster Data and Information Processing at DKI BPBD Michael Sitanggang in his statement, Sunday, November 6.

The RT that is still flooded is in East Jakarta. In detail, there is 1 RT in Bidara Cina Village which was flooded up to 40 centimeters and 9 RTs in Kampung Melayu Village which were flooded up to 75 centimeters.

"The reason is the overflow of the Ciliwung River," said Michael.

Then, the flood also inundated hundreds of other RTs in Jakarta, with details of 22 RTs in East Jakarta, 128 RTs in South Jakarta, 2 RTs in Central Jakarta, 10 RTs in West Jakarta. However, the flooding at this point has receded.

Regarding the flooding that is still inundated, Michael said that his party mobilized personnel to monitor the inundation conditions in each region and coordinate the elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Service, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local lurah and sub-district heads.

"The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time," he said.

As is known, moderate to heavy rain that hit most of DKI Jakarta on Saturday, November 5.

The heavy rain caused an increase in the alert status of Katulampa Dam to Alert 3 (Alert), Depok Siaga 3 Post (Alert), Angke Hulu Siaga 2 Post (Alert), Sunter Hulu Siaga 3 Post (Alert) and Manggarai Siaga 3 Water Gate (Alert) and inundation at several points in the DKI Jakarta area.
