Determination Of Salahuddin Bin Talabudin As A National Hero To Be A Kado Indah For Central Halmahera

TERNate - The government has determined five figures will get the award of the title as national heroes. One of them is the son of the Central Halmahera area, North Maluku, Salahuddin Bin Talabudin.

The determination of Salahuddin Bin Talabudin as a national hero has made the people of Central Halmahera proud. In fact, this is called the most beautiful gift for Central Halmahera Regency which has just celebrated the 32nd anniversary of the district.

"Of course, the determination of Salahuddin Bin Talabudin along with four other figures as heroes is a special gift for the people of Halteng Regency," said the Regent of Halteng, Edi Langkara, as quoted from Antara, Saturday, November 5, 2022.

He also asked the public to welcome the determination of the son of Fogoguru who is known to have a fighting spirit for Dutch colonialism.

As is known, Salahuddin Bin Talabudin was born in 1874 in Gamia Patani Village, Halteng Regency. He later died in 1948 in Ternate Skep.

He is a movement figure who had to experience five years in prison in Sawahlunto Sumatra from 1918 to 1912. He was also detained in Nusakambangan from 1941 to 1942 and Bovel Digoel 1943.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD via Twitter stated that Indonesian President Joko Widodo had appointed the awarding of national hero H Salahuddin Bin Talabuddin.

There are five names of national heroes including, Dr. Dr. HR Suharto (Central Java), KGPAA Paku Alam VIII (DIY), dr. R. Rubini Natawisastra (West Java), H. Salahuddin bin Talabuddin (North Maluku), and KH Ahmad Sanusi (West Java).
