KSAL Yudo To The G20 VVIP Security Task Force: You Are Ready For Combating Not Ready For Operation

JAKARTA - KSAL Admiral TNI Yudo Margono asked all Indonesian Navy soldiers to exert 100 percent of their ability to secure the G20 Summit. This security is not an operation but is ready to fight. "Ready to fight in anticipation of enemy disturbances, once again I remind you...you are all ready to fight...not ready for operation, "said KSAL Yudo Margono while leading the Appointment for the Navy Task Force (Satgasla) of the Indonesian Navy Security Force (PAM) VVIP of the G20 Presidency, at Madura Pier Koarmada II, Ujung Surabaya. Apples held this troop to ensure the readiness of the Indonesian Navy Task Force for the security of the G20 in Bali on November 15 to 16, 2022. The 12 KRIs involved in securing the G20 are KRI Raden Eddy Martadinata-331, KRI Surabaya-591, KRI Teluk Banten-516, KRI Bimasuci, KRI Karel Satsuit Tubun-356, KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda-367, KRI Fatahillah-361, KRI Sultan Nuku-373, KRI Tarakan-905, KRI Abdul Halim Perdanakusuma-355, KRI Untung Suropati-372, KRI Hasan Basri-382, and three units of helicopter panther and two units of helicopter bell.

Each ship will be strengthened by a Kopaska team and one Dislambair onboard team. These 12 warships will carry out security patrols at a radius of 12 military miles from the G20 location in the Nusa Dua area, Bali.

The KSAL emphasized that the G20 Summit in Bali was not an ordinary meeting, because it was the main forum for global economic cooperation consisting of countries with a large economy. This forum represents more than 75 percent of world trade which will be attended by important figures, heads of state or heads of government of major countries.

"Once again I emphasize, the G20 meeting that we must secure later is not a playful meeting," he said.

The election of Indonesia as the host, said KSAL, is a trust and honor. However, it contains the responsibility and challenges to ensure the meeting is safe and smooth.

"The slightest failure would be very embarrassing for this nation, because the whole world will see it," said KSAL.

He also checked the readiness of the ship's torpedo weapon, because the area to be secured had a depth that would allow for an opposing submarine.
