BALI - General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board KH Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya officially closed the G20 Religious Forum (Forum R20) in Nusa Dua, Bali which was marked by a hammer tap. From time to time, NU tries to reach out and find people to become partners in order to produce one global movement, as well as contribute actively and positively to human development and a better future for human civilization. “We made a universal call and you have answered our call, ” he said which was immediately greeted by the roar of applause. This shared existence in Bali is nothing but to realize the common goal. "And at this point, I believe that we all agree and agree for R20 not just one event, but develop it into a global movement," he said. Previously, Gus Yahya handed over the G20 Religious Forum in 2023 to an Indian religious figure, HH Mahamahopadhyaya Swami Bhadreshdas. This handover was marked by the handover of the R20 and placard forums. Both were accompanied by a number of figures, namely the Head of the World Muslim League or Muslim World League (MWL) for Southeast Asia and Australia Syekh Abdurrahman Al-Khayyat, Representatives of the Indonesian Government Muhsin Syihab, Ahmad Suaedy as Chairman of the R20 Forum Committee, and a number of religious figures from India. The G20 or R20 Religious Forum was held by PBNU together with the World Muslim League (MWL) in Nusa Dua, Bali, on 2-3 November 2022. There were 338 participants who were confirmed to attend the R20 event, which came from 32 countries. A total of 124 came from abroad. The forum presents 45 speakers from five continents.
