The Committee For The Mottling Festival Requests A Crowd Permit Of 3,000 People, But Sells More Tickets Than That

JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Metro Police investigators are still investigating the committee for the Berdendang Bergoyang music concert which was held at Istora Senayan, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Saturday night, October 29.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin said, based on the permission received by the police, it was found that the facts were different from those found in the field related to the incoming invitations (AUDIences).

"We only refer to the crowd's permission from those who say that they ask for permission to organize music with 3,000 invitations. But the fact is that it exceeds capacity," said Kombes Komarudin when confirmed, Wednesday, November 2.

Kombes Komarudin said ticket sales were not determined by the police.

"What determines (the maximum number of ticket sales) is not the police," he said.

In addition, East Jakarta Metro Police investigators also continue to monitor the location of the Istora Senayan music concert after the crowd.

"After analysis, monitoring, for Istora Senayan, 3,000 (people) are sufficient. But the fact is that the amount sold exceeds that," he said.

Currently, the police are still matching the statements from the committee with the facts found in the field regarding ticket sales.

"We are still matching the witness testimony with the facts we will take from the online ticket recap and box ticket," he said.

Previously, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno reminded event organizers (EO) to comply with the carrying capacity of a place for the number of people when organizing events.

The former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta also mentioned the overcapacity incident at Itaewon and the Berdendang Bergoyang music festival in Indonesia which also experienced excess capacity.

"At the same time there was an overcapacity incident at the Berdendang Bergoyang concert, the maximum capacity reached 10,000 spectators, but in the field it was calculated by more than 21,000 spectators," said Sandiaga, Tuesday, November 1.

He immediately assigned the Deputy for Tourism Products and Activities Organizers of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Rizki Handayani, to evaluate and provide socialization to EO in order to comply with the carrying capacity, early warning system and the availability of evacuation routes.
