Jambi Police Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) reported 112 coal transportation vehicles to the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal (Ditjen Minerba) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. This report follows allegations of violations of vehicle rules that are still passing during the temporary suspension of coal transportation activities. "About 112 coal transport trucks coming out of the mouth of the mine in Kotoboyo, we report them to the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal, because they have violated operating hours," said Director of Traffic and Traffic of the Jambi Police, Kombes Dhafi in Jambi, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, October 2. Hundreds of coal transport vehicles reported to the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal are currently being secured in a parking bag in Batanghari Regency, Jambi. "The coal transportation that we have detained cannot operate at all," he also said. Furthermore, he explained that the temporary suspension of coal transportation activities was due to road repairs carried out by the Jambi IV National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) on the Sumatra Cross Road, Muara Bulian-Tembesi. The cessation of coal transportation activities is also to speed up road repairs. This is because if the vehicle is still operating, it can slow down the work and cause traffic jams on the road, due to the large number of coal transportation passing through. "We will temporarily stop this coal transportation activity until road repairs are completed, so that it does not cause congestion and public unrest," he added. Previously, the Jambi Regional Police since Monday (31/10) temporarily suspended coal transportation operations in the area due to the Jambi National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) to repair road damage on the Muara Tembesi-Muara Bulian route, Batanghari Regency. Previously there was also a long traffic jam due to many damaged roads flowing. "Because there are many holes on the road, causing traffic jams not to mention if there is a broken house," he said again.
