Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, asked the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to order his members to carry out massive socialization related to drugs that are suspected to be the cause of kidney failure, to the regions.

"We ask the National Police Chief to ask his members in the regions to disseminate information to the public about these dangerous drugs," Dasco told reporters, Monday, October 31.

The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party's DPP assessed that the National Police must also remind people who have already bought illegal▁sekalih drugs so they don't keep them anymore. This is to prevent cases of acute kidney failure in children from continuing.

"If anyone still keeps it, it's in especially areas, not to be stored anymore. Because the ban on selling already exists, but those who have already bought it should be told not to be stored anymore," said Dasco. It is known that the National Police has formed a special team to explore the potential for criminal acts in cases of acute kidney failure that are hitting the country.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that this special team was a combination of four directorates in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

Namely, the Directorate of Certain Crimes (Dittipidter), the Directorate of Drugs (Ditnarkoba), the Directorate of Special Economics (Ditextus), and the Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum).

"The joint one will be chaired by the Director of Tipidter (Brigjen Pipit Rismanto)," Dedi told reporters at the National Police Headquarters, Monday, October 24.
