Cirebon Police Pull All Blangko Tilang Manual From Satlantas Members

CIREBON - Cirebon City Police (Polresta), West Java, withdrew all blanks of manual ticketing from members of the traffic unit. The blank withdrawal was carried out in order to eliminate manual ticketing and prioritize a humane warning.

"We have withdrawn all the ticketing fees in members of the Cirebon Police Traffic Unit," said Cirebon Police Chief Kombes Pol Arif Budiman in Cirebon, Sunday, October 30.

Arif said the withdrawal of the manual ticket was in accordance with the instructions of the National Police Chief, that the National Police should no longer carry out tickets manually.

According to him, by not having a manual ticket, his party carries out traffic operations in a humane manner, where when there are residents or drivers who violate, they are given a warning, so that they don't repeat their actions anymore.

In addition, Arif continued, his party continues to carry out humanist patrols at crowded points, so that people or road users can obey the regulations more.

"During this operation, we only gave warnings, so that people obey traffic," he said.

Arif added that the humanist patrol activity was carried out to educate the public, to be more obedient to the rules, because in the future the ticketing was carried out electronically.

He said that until now the application of electronic ticketing had not been carried out, because it was still in the process of fulfilling supporting facilities and infrastructure.

"In the future we will use electronic ticketing, so it is hoped that motorists will obey traffic rules more," he said.

Previously, the National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo instructed the Korlantas Polri to optimize static and mobile ETLE and reduce manual tickets to avoid illegal levies (extortion).

The instruction is contained in the Telegram Letter of the National Police Chief Number: ST/2264/X/HUM.3.4.5./2022 dated October 18, 2022, which was signed by the Head of Korlantas Polri Inspector General Pol. Firman Shantyabudi.
