Viral Warung SS Cut Salaries IDR 300,000 For BSU Recipient Employees

Circulating a circular from the Sambal Special Waroeng (SS) company which contains a salary deduction of Rp. 300,000 to employees who receive wage subsidy assistance (BSU) from the government has gone viral on social media Twitter.

The salary cuts were made in the period November and December this year.

Circular number 0307/WSS/SDM-Kesra/SK-BSU SS/x/2022 was issued in terms of the preparation of BSU Indonesian WSS personnel.

The letter was signed directly by the Director of WSS Indonesia Yoyok Hery Wahyono on October 21.

In the letter, Yoyok said, the company decided to cut the salary of Rp. 300,000 for employees who received government BSUs worth Rp. 600,000.

Yoyok also invited employees to resign if they did not accept the company's decision.

"If there are personnel who object or oppose my decision, please go to the resignation letter," Yoyok wrote in the letter quoted by VOI, Sunday, October 30.

Yoyok explained that the company's steps were taken for the sake of justice and equitable distribution of welfare facilities.

Bearing in mind, the company's post-COVID-19 condition has not returned to health.

"The Indonesian WSS business condition where during the pandemic is still struggling to be normal and healthy," he said.

Moreover, said Yoyok, so far the cost of BPJS employee contributions has been borne by the company without deducting salaries.

Regarding the circular, VOI has tried to contact the Director of WSS Indonesia Yoyok Hery Wahyono.

However, until this news was written, there had been no response from the person concerned.
