JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has predicted that cloudy weather will dominate several cities in Indonesia on Sunday.

According to the official website www.bmkg.go.id, which was quoted by Antara in Jakarta, Sunday, cloudy weather during the day is expected in Banda Aceh, Denpasar, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Palangkaraya, Mataram, Manokwari, Pekanbaru, and Palembang.

Only Ambon during the day has thick cloudy weather.

Then sunny cloudy weather will be present during the day in Serang City, Gorontalo, Jambi, Bandung, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Tanjung Pinang, Bandar Lampung, and Jayapura City.

Meanwhile, the cities of Jakarta, Samarinda, and Tarakan have the potential to experience sunny weather during the day.

However, light rain is also predicted to be present in the afternoon in the cities of Pangkal Pinang, Ternate, Mamuju, Makassar, Kendari, and Padang.

Meanwhile, moderate-intensity rain will fall in Manado and Medan during the day. Meanwhile, heavy rain accompanied by lightning and lightning will occur in the cities of Bengkulu, Pontianak, and Kupang in the afternoon.

Entering the evening, cloudy weather is expected to occur in Banda Aceh, Denpasar, Serang, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Palangkaraya, Ambon, Jayapura City, Manokwari, Makassar, Kendari, and Padang.

Furthermore, BMKG also informed that today's temperature is predicted to reach 19 to 33 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 50 to 100 percent.

Although the weather in Indonesia is predicted to occur in various ways today, Head of BMKG Dwikorita Karnawati appealed to all people to remain vigilant because the start of the rainy season has started since September 2022, and its peak is predicted to occur in December 2022 and January 2023.

He reminded people who live on the banks or valleys of rivers to be really aware of the occurrence of floods or flash floods. Likewise, people who live in hilly areas have the potential for landslides to occur.
