Drug Free Letter Is An Mandatory Requirement For The Kudus Panwascam List In The 2024 Election

The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Kudus Regency, requires a drug-free certificate as a condition for registration to be a member of the sub-district election supervisory committee (Panwascam) in the 2024 General Election.

"If of the 27 sub-district panwaslu candidates who passed the written test and the interview turned out to have indications of taking drugs, then we could not tolerate it," said a member of the Bawaslu Commissioner for Kudus Regency, Rif'an, in Kudus, Central Java (Central Java), quoted from Antara, Thursday 27 October.

For prospective Panwascam members who are proven to have consumed drugs, he continued, they will be replaced by other participants with the next rank.

In addition to drug-free requirements, he said, all prospective Panwascam members who want to be inaugurated must also submit a physical and spiritual health certificate no later than October 28, 2022.

The physical and spiritual health examination was carried out at the mental poly of Loekmono Hadi Kudus Hospital.

"Later, they will also be asked to work on 350 questions related to their respective personalities," he said.

With these additional requirements, it is hoped that prospective panwaslu members who will be appointed can work professionally, artificially, independently, transparently and with integrity.

"Bawaslu Kudus Regency hopes that they are ready to supervise every stage of the election, especially in their respective sub-districts," he said.

In addition, he said, prospective Panwascam members must also always maintain integrity and independence, including to be able to understand regulations related to the implementation of elections and election supervision.

The elected Panwascam is also required to cooperate with stakeholders in their respective sub-districts as a basis for supervision at every stage of the 2024 General Election.

A total of 27 selected panwaslu candidates will be sworn in on October 29, 2022 at the Kenari Asri Kudus Hotel. Then will follow technical guidance.
