JAKARTA - The police have arrested two actors who spread the video and the call to prayer calling for jihad in Tegal Regency uploaded on Youtube.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Kombes Iskandar F. Sutisna, said that the disclosure of criminal information and electronic transactions (ITE) originated from reports from the public who were worried about the circulation of the video call to prayer containing the call to jihad.

He explained a video with a duration of 1 minute 12 seconds with the title "DR Tegal's JIHAD Call Led by the Leader by HABIEB FADHILASSEGGAF ASSEGAF for the sake of maintaining & understanding IB HRS & HABIEB HANIF" uploaded on Youtube.

"Around December 2, there was a video being discussed which was uploaded on a Youtube account under the name Agung Mujahid," said Iskandra in Semarang, reported by Antara, Monday, December 7.

The police who received the report then arrested the owner of Agung Mujahid's account, known as Johanes Agung Kurniawan (43), a resident of Gubeng District, Surabaya City, East Java.

From the development, the police knew that the figure who made the call to prayer was called Slamet, a resident of Tegal Regency.

It turned out that Slamet himself was already in detention at the Tegal Police on suspicion of fraud.

From police investigations, it was found that the call to prayer was a recitation event which took place in Dukuhturi District, Tegal Regency on November 29, 2020.

For their actions, the two perpetrators were charged under Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE.
