Disappointed With Different Treatment, Dozens Of Voluntary Health Workers Mukomukowas A Non-ASN Employee

Dozens of health workers who have the status of volunteer workers in Mukomuko Regency rallied at the Office of the Personnel, Education, Human Resources/ANTARA Agency.

MUKOMUKO - At least 50 health workers in Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu, held a demonstration at the Office of the Personnel, Education Agency, West Sumatra Human Rights, Monday, October 24. The crowd demanded that it be included in the data collection as a non-state civil servant (ASN). Dozens of health workers who have the status of volunteer workers in a number of health centers in Mukomuko Regency have completed data for one month, but their data has not been inputted in the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) application. "We don't ask for much. We just ask to be included in the data collection as non-ASN personnel of the Mukomuko Regency Government," said Head of the Mukomuko Regency Voluntary Labor Forum Andri Novianto in Mukomuko, Antara, Monday, October 24. According to him, health workers who are volunteers are as important as honorary teachers, but in reality there are different treatments between them and honorary teachers. "We really regret this. Even though teachers are important, we are also important. Why should it be distinguished," he said. He said, even though during the COVID-19 pandemic, health workers were at the forefront of sacrificing time and risking face-to-face lives in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, and always being the most highlighted about medical treatment and health services. "We ask for it to be included in the data collection of non-ASN employees within the Mukomuko Regency Government," he said. After being satisfied with the action at the Mukomuko Regency Personnel, Education and Human Resources Agency, dozens of these employees took action at the Mukomuko DPRD office. The Head of the Procurement of the Mukomuko Regency Personnel, Education and Human Resources Agency, Niko, said that the demands of health workers were difficult to grant, because what the local government was implementing was the policy of the central government. "This is a central government policy. The application is from the State Civil Service Agency and the requirements are from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform," he said. He said his party had identified potential conflicts, and had asked the central government to open data collection on non-ASN employees from all lines by sending a letter to KemenPAN-RB. "Until today there has been no reply from the center. But we have accommodated the aspirations of all of you and we will continue to the central government," he said again.
