Babak Baru Kasus Dugaan Korupsi Asset 65 Hektare Di Gili Trawangan, Kejati NTB Call Penawat Asset

The prosecutor's investigators summoned a man with the initials MW, an alleged asset tenant in the form of a 65 hectare land in the Gili Trawangan tourist area owned by the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

MW was summoned as a witness in the alleged violation of the law on asset management in Gili Trawangan. This was stated in the summons of the NTB High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) number SP-1116/N.2.5/Fd.1/10/2022.

In the letter, MW is scheduled to be questioned at the Pemenang Police Office, North Lombok Regency, tomorrow Tuesday, October 25.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputra, admitted that he did not know about the summons. In fact, the summons was signed by the Special Criminal Assistant for the NTB Attorney General's Office, Ely Rahmawati.

"I don't know, there's no news to me," said Efrien when confirmed, Monday, October 24.

When confirmed again there was evidence of a photo of MW's summons as a witness, Efrien was economical. He refused to explain and argued that there was no incoming information to him regarding the summons.

"I don't know. I haven't received any information," said Efrien.

Previously, the NTB Prosecutor's Office considered the case of alleged corruption in the management of 65 hectares of land in the Gili Trawangan tourist area going up to the investigation stage.

This is based on the title of the case stating that there are indications of a violation of the law in asset management in Gili Trawangan.

Prosecutors' investigators have also compiled agendas for examining witnesses, experts, and efforts to trace potential state losses.

In the midst of handling cases, there was a change of position within the NTB Prosecutor's Office. Sungarpin was appointed to replace Tomo Sitepu as Head of the NTB Attorney General's Office and Ely Rahmawati replaced Gunawan Wibisono as Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the NTB Attorney General's Office.

Since the change in case investigations, it seems that the road is on the spot. There has been no news regarding the prosecutor's efforts to conduct an examination, such as the agenda at the beginning of this case, which went up to the investigation stage.

Early Case

The case of alleged corruption in the management of 65 hectares of land in the Gili Trawangan tourist area originated from public reports. The report leads to allegations of illegal levies (extortion) regarding the use of land management rights (HPL) belonging to the NTB Provincial Government which is an agreement in the production contract with PT Gili Trawangan Indah (GTI).

The issue allegedly emerged since 1998 when PT GTI pocketed a production contract agreement from the NTB Provincial Government to manage the land.

During that period, allegations emerged that a number of parties took personal advantage. The allegation is related to massive and illegal land leases.

For the latest conditions in the 65 hectare area in the Gili Trawangan tourist area, there are permanent buildings, most of which are community business fields that support tourism.

The prosecutor's office has also mapped the situation on the land. This was obtained when the NTB Prosecutor's Office carried out its duties as a state attorney (JPN) to save and control assets in the tourist area.

This asset rescue effort was previously expected to boost local revenue by predicting profits of up to trillions of rupiah.
