Bogor DPRD Chairperson Worried That 64 Vacant Positions Will Disrupt Local Government Services

BOGOR - The chairman of the Bogor Regency DPRD, Rudy Susmanto, is concerned that a large number of vacant positions within the Bogor Regency Government, West Java, could disrupt services to the community.

"We also regret that the four candidates for directors of the RSUD who have passed the open selection have not yet been appointed. What are the delays, which will hamper health services," said Rudy in Cibinong, Bogor, Antara, Sunday, October 23.

Based on data from the Bogor Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), there are seven echelon II positions that are still vacant. Then at the echelon III level there are also 17 vacancies and 40 echelon IV positions. Thus, in total there are 64 vacant positions.

This number does not rule out the possibility that it will continue to grow considering that there are several state civil servants (ASN) who have entered the retirement age limit.

Rudy is worried that the slow filling of strategic positions could hinder the smooth running of services to the community and also hinder the development and career development of ASN.

To that end, he asked the Position and Rank Advisory Board (Baperjakat) of Bogor Regency to immediately take steps to overcome the problem of vacancies.

"Don't let it drag on. Give equal opportunities to ASN who are worthy of the position. Not because of likes or dislikes or other interests," said Rudy.

According to him, the inauguration must be carried out immediately to dispel suspicions of a tug-of-war between the interests of certain parties in filling positions within the Bogor Regency Government.

Rudy also reminded about the existence of a regulation that limits regional heads from rotating positions when entering six months before the end of their term of office. The reason is, the period of regional heads in Bogor Regency ends at the end of 2023.

"And it must also be remembered that in January 2024 the Bogor Regency will be led by an acting regional head and we will only have a definitive regent in April 2025," he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan said specifically regarding the delay in the inauguration of the four directors of the hospital, they were still waiting for written permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"Just waiting for written permission from the Minister of Home Affairs and also from the law firm," said Iwan.
