JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono stated that he did not work with a political attitude. Because, he is an ASN appointed by President Joko Widodo to lead Jakarta. Heru admitted that he would work according to the needs of the people of Jakarta. This was conveyed when giving directions to the village heads, sub-district heads, mayors, and all officials of the DKI Jakarta regional work unit (SKPD). "I am an ASN, we are ASN. I do not have politics. I do not know politics. So, if the program is good for the community, please," said Heru at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Tuesday, October 18. In this briefing, Heru asked all ranks of his subordinates to record and carry out all the directions he gave. "I want to convey because we have enough thoughts to solve the problem. Hopefully, you can record everything," he said. Heru also highlighted a number of problems in Jakarta, ranging from flood control, environmental cleanliness, PPSU workers, reforestation programs, to the phenomenon of rampant people with social welfare problems. As is known, Heru Budi Hartono has officially served as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta since October 17, 2022 for the next year. Heru's position in Jakarta can be extended or replaced. After being inaugurated by the Minister of Home Affairs yesterday, Heru, who is also still the Head of the Presidential Secretariat, admitted that he would immediately work to lead Jakarta. Heru also quoted President Joko Widodo's slogan, which is often echoed. "I will work, work, work," Heru said after his inauguration as Acting Governor of DKI at the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Central Jakarta, Monday, October 17. Heru admitted that he would work to lead Jakarta based on the direction of the Minister of Home Affairs and the DKI Jakarta Regional Development Plan (RPD) for 2023-2026 which Anies and the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government had compiled. "The Minister of Home Affairs has emphasized several points and we will include them in the program in 2023, including Mr. Anies submitting the RPD, later we will detail it. Of course, this is the beginning, which is good, good for the community. I will definitely continue," he explained.
