JAKARTA - Rodion Miroshnik, a representative from the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) in Moscow, said US businessman Elon Musk maintained his status as a sponsor of terrorism, after last weekend saying his SpaceX company would continue to finance Starlink telecommunications services in Ukraine.
"Musk, now officially, has maintained his status as a sponsor of the terrorist regime, which has caused losses so far," Miroshnik told TASS, as reported October 17.
"The Ukrainian regime is just a lap dog that has a master. The master in front of the Pentagon and the US Government is the biggest customer for Elon Musk's company. So, when my brother started to get out of the regime (President of Ukraine Vladimir) Zelensky, the master reacted," he explained.
"They pressured Musk and him, for fear of losing a major contract, forced to take an extra commitment to finance the constellation of satellites used to provide intelligence data to Ukrainian armed gangs," said Miroshnik.
As previously reported, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced on Saturday that his rocket company will continue to fund Starlink internet services in Ukraine. He mentioned one of the reasons, namely the need for 'good action'. In fact, the day before he said he could no longer do it.
