Separation Events At City Hall, Anies Baswedan: Thank You Jakarta

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan said goodbye to his position as Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Anies and Ahmad Riza Patria as representatives of the Governor of DKI Jakarta also held a farewell activity with residents of DKI Jakarta.

This farewell activity was titled 'Thank you Jakarta' to all elements of Jakarta residents. The event was held at City Hall, on Sunday, October 16.

In front of the thousands of people present, Governor Anies expressed his deepest gratitude to Jakarta for the mandate given to lead this megapolitan region since 2017. "On the last day of our tenure here, allow me to express my deepest gratitude from the bottom of my heart, thank you Jakarta. Thank you for the mandate given, thank you for the support given, thank you for the work donated, thank you for the criticism sent, thank you for the prayers from the quiet place whose appearance (real) we never saw his face, thank you to all," said Governor Anies, quoted from the PPID website, Sunday, October 16. In addition, Anies also expressed his gratitude to the residents who gathered at the event, for helping to oversee the running of government during the 2017-2022 period. "In particular, let me thank those present today, who gathered at the Balkot, who cannot be named one by one. To all those who witnessed from all over the city and other regions in Indonesia, I thank you. We have passed together, passing a noble journey for the past five years," he said. Anies also left a message to all who attended.

He asked to continue to support the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in the future. Especially in continuing its programs.

According to Anies, if the city progresses and its citizens are happy, there will be prosperity.

"We hope to continue to complete the work that is still in the process of continuing to keep Jakarta as a global city on par with other cities. This is where the city progresses and the citizens are happy. There is justice, welfare, and sustainability. Then, what is no less important is Jakarta as a city that raises the name of Indonesia in the eyes of the world," he said.
