PEKANBARU - Brigadier IR, a female police officer (polwan) who is suspected of molesting a woman was sentenced to two years of demotion in a code of ethics trial by the Riau Police Propam Division, today. IR was found guilty of involvement in a case of abuse. The Head of Propam Riau Police, Kombes Johanes Setiawan, said that Brigadier IR was given administrative sanctions and ethical sanctions for his actions. "The results of the verdict, the person concerned was transferred to a demotion for two years. This demotion sanction is stated in Article 1 number 24 of the Regulation of the Head of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2012 concerning the Organizational Structure and Work Procedures of the Indonesian National Police Code of Ethics Commission. Even though his colleague had stopped him, IR still continued to shower Riri with a blow. Due to the abuse, Riri suffered bruises at several points on her body and swelling in her head. Finally, after going through the investigation and case title process, Sunday, September 25, Brigadier IR and his mother have been named as suspects. However, no detention was made because he was considered cooperative during the process, would not repeat his actions, would not damage evidence, and humanitarian reasons where he had to take care of his grandson, namely Brigadier IR's son.
