Bogor Residents Who Fell In The Cicareuheun River Were Found 3 Km From A Lost Location

BOGOR - The joint SAR team found Saripan (56) who had been lost in the current of the Cicareuheun River since Tuesday, October 11.

Tenjo Police Chief Iptu Suyadi said residents of Ciomas Village, Tenjo, Bogor Regency, West Java, were found dead. His body was then evacuated.

"We found that the victim had died face down in the mud on the banks of the river," said Iptu Suyadi in Bogor, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, October 12.

He explained that Saripan had been swept away from the Cibadak Bridge to the Cicareuheun River, Ciomas Village, since Tuesday, October 11 at noon. The search was carried out immediately by the joint SAR team and was stopped at night.

The search resumed on Wednesday, October 12 morning, following the Cicareuheun River.

The joint SAR team managed to find the victim's body after searching three kilometers from where Saripan fell.

"It was found dead, about three kilometers from the starting point the victim was declared missing," he said.

His party immediately evacuated the victim's body to the Pasar Rebo Health Center, East Jakarta for further examination.

"The family refused to do an autopsy and then (the victim, ed.) was immediately buried by the family," he said.
