JAKARTA - Roy Suryo's attorney, Pitra Romadoni Nasution, reported the public prosecutor (JPU) of the West Jakarta District Attorney to the Prosecutor's Commission for not receiving a complete examination report (BAP) before the trial. "Declare an objection because the Public Prosecutor did not provide the complete case file to the advocacy team Roy Suryo. This is as mandated by law regulated in Article 143 paragraph 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code," said Pitra at the West Jakarta District Court, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, October 12. According to him, the BAP should be given to a legal representative so that investigators can clearly see the results of Roy Suryo's examination. Not only that, the submission of BAP to the legal counsel is also a form of openness of the prosecutor to the public in court. "I ask the attorney general to give strict sanctions to public prosecutors who do not provide complete case files to the advocacy team Roy Suryo," said Pitra. Pitra admitted that the report to the Prosecutor's Commission was made before attending the inaugural trial at the West Jakarta District Court, this Wednesday. This Wednesday, the West Jakarta District Court held the inaugural trial of the stupa meme case which allegedly resembled President Joko Widodo with the accused former Minister of Youth and Sports, Roy Suryo. For information, Roy Suryo was named a suspect by the Polda Metro Jaya for uploading a stupid meme similar to President Joko Widodo. He was charged with Article 28 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 of Law (UU) Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) and Article 156a of the Criminal Code (KUHP) on Blasphemy of Religion and Article 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946. Roy's case file was declared complete and transferred to the West Jakarta District Attorney's Office for immediate trial. After the process of submitting Roy Suryo's files and suspects to the prosecutor's office, on Thursday (29/9), Roy Suryo was confirmed to hold his first trial this Wednesday.
