Examined at the East Java Regional Police, PT LIB President Director Suspect of Kanjuruhan Tragedy: I Obey the Law

SURABAYA - Investigators from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the East Java Police have again examined the suspect in the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. This time, the President Director of PT. The New Indonesia League (LIB) Akhmad Hadian Lukita, who met the investigator's summons, was accompanied by two of his lawyers.

"I, as a law-abiding citizen, will follow all processes", said Hadian, when he met an investigator's summons at the East Java Police Headquarters, Surabaya, Wednesday, October 12.

Hadian did not comment much when asked many questions by reporters. He said he would answer after undergoing an examination by investigators.

"Regarding the match that night, this is part of the investigator's question, which will be answered after the examination is complete", he said.

The Police have named six suspects in the incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium. They are the Managing Director of the New Indonesia League (LIB) Akhmad Hadian Lukita, Chairman of the Malang Arema Organizing Committee Abdul Haris, and Security Officer Suko Sutrisno.

Then, the Head of the Ops of the Malang Police, Kompol Wahyu Setyo Pranoto, the Head of Samapta of the Malang Police, AKP Bambang Sidik Achmadi, and the Commander of the Brimob Company for the East Java Police, AKP Hasdarman.

For their actions, the suspects are suspected of violating Articles 359 and 360 of the Criminal Code regarding causing people to die or be seriously injured due to negligence and Article 103 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 52 of Law Number 11 of 2022 concerning Sports.
