Dirty Comments On The Instagram Account Of The Padang Police, GN Was Arrested By The Police

PADANG - Padang City Police (Polresta), West Sumatra, (West Sumatra) secured GN youth (23) who wrote comments using obscene and inappropriate words to upload the Padang Police Instagram account.

"He was secured for writing comments and profanity on Instagram. The comments were posted on Instagram by the Padang Police," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Padang Police, Police Commissioner Rico Fernanda in Padang, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 2.

The young man, whose address was at Seberang Padang, Padang Selatan Subdistrict, was arrested by the Padang Police, the Padang Police at 14.30 WIB at his place of work, Jalan Pemuda Padang.

"We secure this teenager first, and later will be examined and further processed related to the comments he wrote," he said.

The comment was written by GN on the Padang Police account, which uploaded a video of the Justisi operation and dispersed the crowd in an effort to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.

When arrested, GN conveyed an apology, and admitted that the comments were written on Tuesday night at around 24.00 WIB.

He reasoned that the comment was made because he was annoyed at the previous dismissal by officers at the H Agus Salim Padang Sports Hall.

According to him, there were three comments written at the time, but one of them was deleted. On another part, the police reminded the public to always be wise in social media and avoid any form of content, uploads, or comments containing hateful speech.

"Use social media wisely, avoid hate speech and disturbing hoaxes," said the Head of Padang Police, AKBP Imran Amir.
