JABAR - The West Java Regional Police (Polda) compiled 106 articles for standard operating procedures or SOPs in organizing football matches in the country.

West Java Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) Inspector General (Irjen) Suntana Police said the SOP was prepared based on the results of discussions with all elements of football in West Java.

"Those are signs that we made based on the agreement of all parties to become a common reference, a joint SOP, in organizing matches in the West Java region," said Inspector General Suntana after the focus group discussion (FGD) or discussion of directed groups with elements of football in Bandung, West Java, Monday 10 October.

The Kapolda explained that every item of the SOP article was the result of a mutual agreement, starting from the local organizing committee, club management in West Java, to supporters.

According to Suntana, the involvement of all elements of football is needed to create a comfortable and safe match.

The FGD activity and the preparation of the SOP are a follow-up to the evaluation of football implementation in Indonesia.

"Avoid excessive fanaticism, upholding the spirit of sportsmanship in every match. I express my deepest gratitude to all those who organize this activity," said the Kapolda.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Police Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, added that the hundreds of SOP articles that had been compiled still needed to be refined and continue to be evaluated. Later, the draft articles will also be reported to the National Police Headquarters.

In addition, continued Ibrahim, the articles are still straightforward, so the number of articles for the SOP for football matches is still not fixed.

"For example, from the legal aspect, procedures, situational, then public acceptance as well. That must be tested first, when we will socialize it," said Ibrahim.
