PALU - The Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Regional Police have named five suspects in the burning of heavy equipment, persecution and destruction of the PT Adijaya Karya Makmur (AKM) office in the gold mine area of Poboya Village, Palu City, Central Sulawesi. The examination of the 21 witnesses consisted of the community, employees of PT AKM, and members of the National Police who were on duty during the vandalism incident some time ago. PT AKM is a contractor from PT Citra Palu Minerals (CPM) as the contract holder of a gold mining company, Poboya Village, which was demonstrated by the public which ended in the burning of 3 units of heavy equipment and 1 unit of an open-bak operational car. In fact, one of the employees of PT AKM was rushed to the hospital (RS) for serious injuries due to being hit by a sharp weapon attack on the head. Meanwhile, Central Sulawesi Governor Rusdy Mastura asked the police to arrest the perpetrators of the destruction of the PT AKM office. Rusdy also advised that security by the police prioritize persuasive methods to avoid unwanted things.
