Again Want To Leave Gerindra, M Taufik Will Jump To NasDem Support Anies For Presidential Candidate 2024?

JAKARTA - Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the Gerindra faction, M Taufik again said he wanted to get out of Prabowo Subianto's political party.

Taufik threw the discourse again after Anies Baswedan's name was declared a candidate for president (candidate) of the NasDem Party. Taufik admitted that he wanted to join in supporting Anies in the 2024 presidential election.

"My stance still supports Mr. Anies to become President. (Delivering to the NasDem Party) We'll see later, one or two days ago," Taufik said when contacted, Wednesday, October 5.

Taufik explained that leaving the Gerindra Party was a consequence of his political attitude that was no longer in line. This is because the Gerindra Party agreed to carry the General Chairperson, Prabowo Subianto, to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

When he left Gerindra, Taufik also admitted that he would resign from his position as a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"If a member of the council must be a member of the party. If he is not a member of the party, he cannot fulfill the requirements as a member of the party," said Taufik.

However, Taufik admitted that so far there has been no decision from Prabowo Subianto regarding his dismissal as a Gerindra Party cadre.

For information, last June, Taufik had announced that he would leave the Gerindra Party. However, before his resignation letter was submitted to Prabowo, the Party's Honorary Council (MKP) had proposed the dismissal of Taufik.

Since June until now, Taufik has not left Gerindra. Taufik's plan to leave the Gerindra Party has re-emerged after the NasDem Party announced Anies as a presidential candidate in 2024.

Anies' declaration as a presidential candidate for the 2024 NasDem Party was delivered at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta on Monday, October 3.
