Bareskrim Investigating The Case Of The Mark AI Trading Robot That Loss Rp25 Billion

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police is investigating cases of alleged fraud and embezzlement by PT Teknologi Investasi Indonesia with the application mode of crypto trading robot Mark AI. In this case, the victims suffered a loss of around Rp. 25 billion.

"Atas kejadian tersebut para korban mengalami kerugian yang cukup besar yaitu mencapai angka Rp25 miliar. Saat ini masih terus dilakukan proses penyidikan," ujar Karo Penmas Divisi Humas Polri Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan kepada wartawan, Rabu, 28 September.

The investigation of the case was based on the existence of a police report (LP) with the number LP/B/0680/XI/2021/Bareskrim Polri dated November 9, 2021.

Then, continued Ramadhan, the number of victims who had not been detailed was deceived by the power of the alleged perpetrators who promised big profits.

Thus, the victims want to invest their money from Rp. 500 thousand to Rp. 9 billion.

However, over time, the alleged fraud began to be felt by the victim. Because, on October 15, 2021 they could not profit.

Trading also reasoned with various reasons. Until promised to return to stability on October 18, 2021.

"It is promised that we will get a profit of 1.3 percent to 1.5 percent per day," said Ramadhan.

In investigating this case, investigators used Article 372 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of 4 years.

Then, Article 378 with the threat of imprisonment is also a maximum of 4 years and Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning Money Laundering
