JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that those who hinder the investigation into the alleged corruption of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe will be prosecuted. They are ready to apply Article 21 of the Anti-Corruption Law.

"KPK will be strict in implementing the provisions of Article 21 of Law Number 31 of 1999 which we know as obstruction of justice," said KPK Deputy Chair Nawawi Pomolango to reporters, Wednesday, September 28.

Nawawi reminded all parties to support the investigation of alleged corruption carried out by the KPK. Support is given so that the legal process can run optimally.

"It is hoped that other parties will help so that the process of examining LE information can be carried out as soon as possible," he said.

"Don't try to prevent, hinder or thwart the investigation process," continued Nawawi.

As previously reported, Lukas Enembe was again absent from the second summons as a suspect on Monday, September 26. His attorney, Stefanus Roy Rening, said his client was sick.

"People who give information must be healthy. If you are sick, how do you want to give information," said Lukas Enembe's attorney, Stefanus Roy Rening, to reporters in Jakarta, Monday, September 26.

Stefanus invited the KPK to come to Lukas' house in Papua. He will seek protection for the medical team when he visits and sees the condition of his client.
