Cimahi City Prints Records, Its Mayor Arrested Three Times By The KPK

JAKARTA - The arrest of Ajay Muhammad Priatna adds to the long line of the mayor of Cimahi who was arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Ajay is the third mayor arrested by the KPK.

Before Ajay, two mayors of Cimahi were also arrested by the KPK, namely Itoc Tochija and Atty Suharti. However, criminal acts of corruption involving regional heads still occur. Will Cimahi clean up?

Regional Secretary (Sekda) Cimahi Dikdik S Nugrahawan stated that the Cimahi City Government (Pemkot) would make the arrest of Cimahi Mayor Ajay M Priyatna as a note not to be repeated.

"I can not comment on that, it's just that it has happened before, so it is a note for us not to repeat itself," said Dikdik at the Cimahi City Government Office, Cimahi City, West Java, reported by Antara, Friday, November 27.

Dikdik said that Ajay plans to attend the plenary meeting at the Cimahi City DPRD Office. But with Ajay being arrested, the Cimahi City Government has not been able to confirm that Ajay will be present.

"We ask that we wait until we get certain information from related parties," he said.

Even so, Dikdik ensure that it does not interfere with community services in the Cimahi City Government. He also asked all ASN in the City Government of Cimahi so that their performance would not be affected by the arrest of Ajay.

"In the future, we will serve the community to be able to serve as usual," said Dikdik.
