JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) has prepared high-speed internet to support national and international media journalists to cover the G20 Summit in Bali on November 15-16, 2022.

"We have prepared a number of facilities in the media center, including a workspace whose facilities consist of 96 PCs (computer personals/units) connected to the LAN network with an internet connection of 1.5 Gbps (Gagabytes per second). So, we are preparing the internet at high speed," said the Director General of Information and Public Communication, Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Usman Kansong in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 20, quoted from Antara.

He said the Ministry of Communications and Informatics prepared a media center room that could accommodate around 1,500 journalists.

"The G20 Summit media center also has a press conference room with a capacity of 443 people complete with translators in five languages," he said at a press conference on the Preparation for Media Registration and Mechanism for the G20 Summit.

In addition, he continued, there are also lounge media, health workers to relaxation facilities.

To support public communication, Usman added that the G20 Summit media center will provide photos of journalists and clean feed broadcast.

He conveyed that the G20 Summit media center is planned to be located at The BICC/Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali, which will operate 13-17 November 2022.

He said the Ministry of Communications and Informatics also provided transportation facilities in the form of shuttle buses that served journalists from lodging locations outside the conference area to the location of the media center of the G20 Summit.

On that occasion, Usman conveyed that the Ministry of Communication and Informatics has prepared registration for foreign and domestic coverage media which has been open since September 5, 2022 and will close on October 10, 2022.

The registered media can take the ID badge at the Bali Seminyak Resort Courtyard by including the results of the antigen swab test provided at the ID badge collection location.
