The head of the Bengkulu Anti-Terror Detachment 88 of the National Police, Kombes Pol. Imam Subandi, after being a speaker at an Islamic education conversation held by the Rejang Lebong Ministry of Religion in Rejang Lebong, Saturday said that of the 13 convicts in Bengkulu Province, on average, they have taken off their oath or have given their oath and have vowed allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. "They are already busy with their respective businesses and jobs. In fact, some of them are very independent, there are only a few people that we are still accompanying to carry out their functions in the community and their families, namely meeting their household needs," he said. He explained that the guidance and assistance they carried out on the 13 former convicts in the area so that they can return to society and do things that are beneficial for them and their nation.

Meanwhile, one of the former convicts living in the Sindang Lantai sub-district, Rejang Lebong Regency, namely Humaidi alias Hamzah, according to Imam, is currently busy preparing his business in the field of coffee processing, sugar palm and chicken farming. "I think it's a positive thing and ask for his support from the community so as not to isolate him and consider him an ordinary person, if necessary, he will partner with whatever business he does," he added. Humaidi, who was involved in the terror case of the Kampung Melayu and Plaza Sarinah Jalan MH Thamrin in 2016, is now sociating and mingling with the local community like the usual community. "Whoever he is, if he returns to society, his position is the same as other people, there are no more terrorist frigates," said Imam Subandi, as quoted by Antara.
