KPU Rejang Lebong Calls The Biodata Of Residents Profited By Political Parties It Has Not Been Deleted

REJANG LEBONG - The General Elections Commission (KPU) of Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, said that the biodata of 15 local residents painted by political parties in the information system of political parties (Sipol) has not yet been removed by the central KPU. "The deletion of names that object is the authority of the Indonesian KPU, our job is only to provide assistance to fill out public objections. Currently, the data has not been deleted, it is still in Sipol," said the Coordinator of the Technical Division of the Rejang Lebong KPU Election Organizer Visco Putra Alexander when contacted in Rejang Lebong, Antara, Thursday, September 15. He explained that the number of local residents who objected to their biodata being covered by 15 political parties, but of that number none of them were ASN or TNI/Polri, all of them came from ordinary people. These residents objected because they were made members of a political party even though they had never provided personal biodata to become members of certain political parties. "Based on the meeting that we held between residents who reported and the political party concerned, they have admitted that there was a profiteering of the residents' bio and asked the KPU to remove them," he added. Meanwhile, the membership verification process for 22 political parties from Rejang Lebong Regency as many as 11,039 members which was carried out from August 16 to September 9, 2022, has been completed, of which the number was declared eligible or MS was 6,700 an, while 4,339 other memberships were declared ineligible or BMS. The results of the membership administration verification of the 22 political parties have been recapitulated in the form of official news and then uploaded to the political party information system (Sipol) to be sent to the Bengkulu Province KPU. The political parties for participating in the 2024 simultaneous elections are given the opportunity to repair documents from September 15 to 28, 2022. If they are completed, the files for improving the membership of this political party will be re-verification of the improvement administration by the local KPU on October 1-9, 2022.
