JAKARTA - Russia's Foreign Ministry has again warned the United States firmly, supplying long-range missiles to Ukraine, the same as violating the red line and making them a party to the conflict.

In a briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova stressed that Russia "has the right to defend its territory".

"If Washington decides to supply long-range missiles to Kyiv, then it will cross the red line, and will become a direct party to the conflict," Zakharova stressed.

Ukraine has asked for and received large numbers of weapons from the United States and other Western allies to help fight the Russian armed forces that invaded Ukraine in February.

Meanwhile, despite supplying Ukraine with advanced rockets that could hit a target of up to 80 km (50 miles), Washington has so far refrained from publicly announcing it will send rockets more than doubled in range.

Earlier, Uncle Sam's state official said Ukraine had promised not to use rockets given by the United States to attack Russian territory.
