JAKARTA - Member of Commission I of the House of Representatives, Effendi Simbolon, said that he had personally apologized to the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa and Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman regarding his statement about the TNI such as gangs and over the community organization (ormas) Effendi admitted that he had contacted the TNI Commander and had clarified his words. According to him, General Andika did not question his words and thought the matter had been resolved. "Two days ago I WA (WhatsApp) went to the commander and Army Chief to ask for time and received by the commander. Then yesterday at 12 o'clock I was at his office, I wanted to ask the attitude of the TNI and I have also apologized. And the Commander conveyed that there was no problem, it was very clear," said Effendi at a press conference in the PDIP Faction room of the Nusantara I Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 15. "So please friends ask directly. It's better if the person concerned conveys it," he added. However, Effendi revealed that his apology to Army Chief of Staff General Dudung had not been answered. He said he had contacted the Army Chief of Staff to meet but there had been no response. "Well, to Pak Dudung has not been responded to. I have asked for time, I will be present alone," he said.
