TARAKAN - Tarakan Class IIA Correctional Institution, North Kalimantan, was again conducive after a riot occurred when officers were about to transfer a drug prisoner named Andi (32) last Friday morning. The prison continues to prioritize coaching so that conditions return to normal. This conducive situation certainly makes the families of the prisoners feel calm. For this riot incident, the Head of Tarakan Class IIA Prison, Arimin since Tuesday, September 6, underwent an examination at the East Kalimantan Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office in Samarinda. Apart from Arimin, 9 other people were examined. Arimin's job was replaced by the Executor (Plh) of the Wagiso Kalapas. Tarakan Prison asked for help from the Tarakan Police and Kodim 0907/Tarakan over the chaos of the transfer of Andi inmates. "There is no plan to move from Tarakan Prison for now, yesterday's plan to carry out orders from the central leadership as to what it is like has not been decided. In the final, we will return the situation again, the transfer does not exist," he said. Previously, on Friday, September 9, Tarakan Prison had experienced chaos because Andi was about to be transferred. Andi previously left Tarakan Prison on Saturday, September 3 without any accompanying officers. Then he was arrested by personnel from the Mobile Brigade of the Kaltara Police in the Karang Anyar area, Tarakan. Andi is a convict of a 11 kg methamphetamine case and has finished serving his sentence in Tarakan Prison for 12 years. He is currently serving 18 years in prison for the same case.
