Police Will Call Salman Tandem Akhyar In Medan Pilkada Over Alleged Campaign Complaints At Mosque

MEDAN - Candidate for deputy mayor of Medan Salman Alfarisi will be summoned by the police. Salman, who became Akhyar Nasution's partner in the Medan Regional Head Election, was allegedly reported in connection with the alleged campaign at the mosque.

Iptu Zuhatta said that Salman Alfarisi's summons were related to reports from Bawaslu. Currently his party is conducting an investigation and will immediately summon Salman.

"We plan it like that. Today we plan to determine what day we will summon it," he told reporters, Wednesday, November 25.

Iptu Zuhatta said that his party had checked video recorders, district Panwas and people who distributed campaign brochures into mosques.

"While we haven't summoned (Salman), because we are still examining the witnesses who were present there," Zuhatta.

"So we just examined the witnesses who recorded, from the Panwas parties who made the findings. Then there was an old grandfather who distributed brochures in the mosque as well as several other witnesses who we are still calling," he continued.

Zuhatta said that a total of 5 witnesses had been summoned regarding the campaign violations.

"After that we will call Pak Salman. For now there are about 5, but in the future it will continue to grow according to the examination," he said.

Zuhatta explained that this case was handled by the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu). Therefore the inspection will take place at Bawaslu Medan.

"This was handled in Gakkumdu, he checked it at Bawaslu," said Zuhatta.
