Kapolri: All Kapolda Must Uphold Health Protocol

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Idham Azis ordered all Polda ranks to always implement the COVID-19 health protocol (prokes). Even the Chief of Police asked his staff to enforce the process without hesitation.

The Police Chief's order was conveyed to journalists through the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, after the 2020 Kasatwil Apple event which took place at the Rupatama building, Police Headquarters.

"The first is related to the handling of COVID-19, of course, that the emphasis of the law is that these regional police chiefs have to enforce health protocols, so there is no doubt," said Argo, Wednesday, November 25.

In his order, the Police Chief emphasized that the implementation of health protocols must involve a number of parties. So, efforts to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 can run well.

"Together with the TNI, Satpol PP and community leaders, we will enforce the health protocol," said Argo.

In addition to emphasizing the matter of health protocol, the National Police Chief also asked for the neutrality of Polri members in the 2020 Regional Head Election (Pilkada). In fact, his order was also conveyed to take firm action against violations if a non-neutral Police member was found.

"Of course, the emphasis is on the neutrality of fixed prices, of course, members of the police who carry out violations as emphasized by the Chief of Police, either through STR, via video conference, through direct directions will be dealt with firmly in connection with violations committed in the field," he explained

Argo said, the National Police Chief also emphasized that each member must take good care of the simultaneous regional elections. So, avoiding cheating in any form.

"Implementing TPS security, then securing ballot papers, safeguarding vote counts, and the stages in the Pilkada," he said.
