JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) through the Directorate of Social Protection for Social Disaster Victims has distributed basic food assistance to officers and organizers of handling COVID-19 at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital Kemayoran, Jakarta.

"Today we have a good relationship with Wisma Athlete Hospital as well as handing over 412 basic food packages and 2,000 bars of soap," said Director of Social Protection for Social Disaster Victims of the Ministry of Social Affairs Sunarti during a visit to the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital Kemayoran, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 24. .

The delivery of assistance is a form of the Ministry of Social Affairs' concern for officers who during the COVID-19 pandemic continue to struggle hard at the Wisma Atlet Hospital. Later, the aid will be handed over to officers who really need it, for example ambulance drivers, cleaners and so on.

He said that basically the Ministry of Social Affairs not only helps or provides social assistance for people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, but officers who work in hospitals, hotels and so on also need assistance.

In the future, he said, the Ministry of Social Affairs will continue to strengthen cooperation with the Wisma Atlet Hospital in terms of social assistance and other support, such as providing psychosocial companions.

Meanwhile, the Field Health Commander of the Kemayoran Athlete House Emergency Hospital Lt. Col. drg M Arifin said the assistance would be very useful for officers.

"Prior to this, the Ministry of Social Affairs has also provided more than 1,000 basic food packages plus assistance from the psychosocial team who joined here," he said.

He said that in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, cooperation from all parties is needed. Because, it cannot be borne by one party only.

In general, the needs for food, drink and nutrition at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital are still well fulfilled. However, the responsible party remains open if there are donors who provide assistance.
