Terapkan 11.500 Liter Penggunaan BBM Subsidi, Polres Demak Hanyak Hanyak 2 Pengkut Truck Driver

Central Java - Demak Police arrested two perpetrators who misused diesel fuel (BBM). Evidence in the form of tens of thousands of liters of diesel and fuel trucks was secured.

"The two trucks that we have secured have been modified so that the diesel transport tank has a greater capacity," said Demak Police Chief AKBP Budi Adhy Buono during a press conference at the Demak Police Headquarters, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 7.

In addition to securing two trucks, the Demak Police also secured a tank containing 8,000 liters of diesel, and one tank containing 3,500 liters of diesel.

The next evidence that was secured was a motorbike, five jerry cans containing subsidized diesel, as well as two subsidized diesel purchase notes.

The two arrested perpetrators, namely the initials "M" from Semarang, Central Java. M was caught driving a truck carrying 3,500 liters of diesel without a permit obtained from Demak and Jepara with a salary of Rp650 liters at the end of August 2022.

The perpetrator is suspected to have been operating for three months with an average of 10,000 liters per month. The value of the state's loss is estimated at IDR 517.5 million.

Meanwhile, the second perpetrator had the initials "MK", a resident of Tuban, East Java. The Constitutional Court was arrested for transporting a subsidized diesel without a permit of 8,000 liters with a truck from Sluke District, Rembang to Semarang. The perpetrators received a salary of Rp900 thousand.

For the actions of the perpetrators, the state suffered a loss of up to Rp. 138 million because the subsidized commodity was sold for the industry with a price difference of up to Rp. 17,250 per liter.

The perpetrators can be charged with Article 40 number 9 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia number 11/2020 concerning Job Creation Jo. Article 55 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22/2001 concerning Oil and Gas of the Republic of Indonesia Jo. Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
