YOGYAKARTA The government through the Ministry of Social Affairs is distributing Cash Direct Assistance (BLT) for fuel oil (BBM) as a social cushion booster to underprivileged Beneficiary Families (KPM). So, what is the fuel BLT distribution scheme in the country?

BBM BLT Distribution Scheme

Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini explained that the BLT BBM distribution scheme uses a top up system from each Social Assistance KPM one each and cannot be doubled.

Quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the distribution of BLT BBM uses the services of PT Pos Indonesia. Assistance will be provided for 4 (four) months, September to December 2022, each Rp. 150 thousand per month. However, the distribution mechanism is divided into two stages.

Phase one, BLT BBM amounting to Rp300 thousand is distributed in September 2022. Meanwhile, the distribution of the second phase of BLT BBM will be carried out in December with an amount of Rp300 thousand per KPM. Thus, the total assistance that will be received by the community is Rp600 thousand.

The data used remains based on the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

Social Minister Risma ensured that there was no duplicate data. The Ministry of Social Affairs periodically improves data integrity, so that BLT BBM is expected to be felt by people who really need it. The data has been matched with Dukcapil.

"Every month at least once I make a decree (Minister of Social Affairs Decree) for this DTKS improvement. So every month the data improvement is carried out continuously because of course this data is dynamic. Because there are always dynamics because there are people who die, some are born, some are moved and so on, including those that should have been graduation, which will later be updated from the field," said Risma at the Ministry of Social Affairs building, Friday, September 2, 2022.

For additional information, the distribution of fuel subsidy BLT has been carried out since September 1, 2022.

"Starting September 1, the Government has distributed Direct Cash Assistance for Fuel Oil (BLT BBM) through the Ministry of Social Affairs with a total of Rp12.96 trillion," said Risma.

Symbolically, the handover of the BBM BLT has been given by President Joko Widodo to 100 Beneficiary Groups (KPM) for Social Assistance (Bansos) (Sembako Cards and Family Hope Programs (PKH) in Jayapura Regency, Sentani, Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

"This assistance is provided to respond to the current price increase, which has begun to be felt to increase as well as reduce the burden on family expenses and increase people's purchasing power," said Risma.
