JAKARTA - The Horse Statue area, Monas, Central Jakarta looks deserted from the protesters. The traffic flow in the area was monitored smoothly and normally despite the presence of a number of tactical and baracuda vehicles parked on Jalan Medan Merdeka, Gambir area.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin, Tuesday afternoon, September 6, said that his party only carried out security because it was only escorting actions and guarding. So that the demonstrations continue to be safe and community activities also run without obstacles.

"There are several elements (the demonstration) related to the fuel problem at only three points. Like in the kKuda statue, Pertamina and the DPR Building. The rest of the action in Central Jakarta does not involve increasing fuel," said Kombes Komarudin, Tuesday, September 6.

For personnel, he continued, what we have prepared is more than 700 joint personnel of the TNI and Polri.

"For security, so what we have prepared from various aids. So that the implementation of the action is expected to run smoothly and people's activities are also not too disturbed, so we make a layered defense, to how traffic engineering should be carried out if there is a diversion," he said.

The police chief ensured that the security of the personnel was limited to security.

"We take a humanist approach, so we hope that the corrupt (field coordinators) so that there really are no intruders, small groups who try to provoke the masses, now this is what we really anticipate," he said.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 6 protesters were detained in the Horse Statue area, Monas, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 5 yesterday afternoon, are still undergoing examination at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters.

"Yes, six people are still being questioned at the Regional Police. Six people from there are all (GPI groups)," Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin told reporters, Tuesday, September 6.

The six people were arrested for stopping several red plate vehicles passing through the Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta.
