JAKARTA - A number of fire victims on Jalan Swadaya PLN, RT 13/RW 02, Jatinegara Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, want to move to flats (rusun).

Camat Cakung Fajar Eko Satrio di Jakarta, mengatakan hingga saat ini sudah ada 18 dari total 54 kepala keluarga (KK) warga korban kebakaran yang mengajukan pindah ke rusun Ujung Menteng.

"In the process, there are 18 families that are willing. The location of the flats provided is in the Ujung Menteng Flood Canal Flats, East," Fajar said, quoting Antara, September 6.

Fajar added that the relocation was carried out because the majority of the houses affected by the fire were on land owned by PT JIEP so that they could not be revitalized.

"The land (houses of the fire victims) is 70 percent owned by JIEP, which is privately owned by only four people. So, residents are facilitated to live in the Ujung Menteng Flats," said Fajar.

Fajar also said that currently evacuation tents at the location of the fire had been dismantled on Monday, September 5 in accordance with the provisions of the East Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept.

"There are no refugee tents," said Fajar.
