Sambangi Hambalang, Puan Maharani Was Invited To Ride A Horse To Talk Four Eyes With Prabowo Subianto

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP, Puan Maharani, met with the General Chairperson of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto. At the residence of the Minister of Defense, Puan was invited to ride. Not only riding, but Puan was also invited to talk privately by Prabowo.

Puan arrived at Prabowo's house in Hambalang, Bogor, at around 10.45 WIB, Sunday, September 4. Puan's presence was greeted directly by Prabowo at his home hall. Puan was accompanied by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.

A number of PDIP figures also accompanied such as Said Abdullah, Utut Adianto, Bambang Wuryanto, Charles Honoris, Dolfie OFP, Mufti Anam, Agustina Wilujeng Pramestuti, Gilang Dhielafararez, and Alex Indra Lukman.

Meanwhile, Prabowo was accompanied by several Gerindra elites, including the Secretary General of the Ahmad Muzani party and the Daily Chair of the Sufmi Dasco Ahmad Party who is also the Deputy Speaker of the DPR.

During her visit, Puan received a reception of respect from the Gerindra family accompanied by the music corps singing songs from Indonesia Raya, Mars PDIP, and Mars Gerindra. After the welcoming ceremony, Puan then went to the dressing room to wear a equestrian dress.

Prabowo also invited Puan to ride in the race arena in her house. The first woman who served as Chair of the DPR rode a Portuguese-born Lusitano horse named Salero. The white horse was also carried by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) when he came to Prabowo's 2016 house.

When riding, Puan was accompanied by Prabowo who rode a brown horse named Cunhal. During 15 minutes of horse riding, Puan was given a short training by the instructor. Starting from being held, to being able to ride alone. Puan had time to show off half pass skills where her front leg was in a crossing position.

"It turns out that playing horses also needs courage, a spirit to be able to work together together with my wife, and it's not as easy as I see in films or on TV," he said in an official statement, Sunday, September 4.

Puan and Prabowo then fed the horse with fruit and carrots. On that occasion, Prabowo joked to his wife that the one who fed him was the Chairman of the DPR.

"This is what fed you the chairman of the DPR," joked Prabowo while stroking Salero's horse.

Next, Puan tried the palomino-colored L's horse, a Portuguese-born horse in Hambalang. After riding, Puan was hosted by Prabowo to enjoy the food served next to the equestrian arena. Puan sat face to face Prabowo on the side of the table.

After the lunch break, Puan and Prabowo held a four-eye meeting at Wisma 1 Hambalang next to the main pavilion. Wisma 1 Hambalang is a place that Prabowo usually uses to receive his personal guests.

"The great honor of Mrs. Maharani's arrival. I feel very close to Mrs. Puan's family, the family of Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mr. Taufik Kiemas," said Prabowo.

"So family relations have been established for a long time. It's a third generation, my parents are also close to Mrs. Mega's parents, my grandfather is also close to Bung Karno," he continued.

The meeting between the PDIP ranks and Gerindra today is indeed quite warm. Many jokes and laughter were thrown into the political safari. On this occasion, Puan also thanked Prabowo and the Gerindra ranks.

"Thank you for the warm welcome on this occasion. I was allowed to try his favorite horse. Riding needs the correct theory, need calm, no nervousness," said Puan.

"And I came here full of calm because I came here feeling at home to my own family. As Mas Prabowo said, our family relationship is far away," he continued.

Puan said that ups and downs in politics are common. He emphasized that the most important thing is that family relations must still be nurtured even though they have different political views.

"We have to show our commitment that when we compete we compete, but when we compete, we have to compete," concluded Puan Maharani.
