JENEPONTO - Communities and business actors in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) will receive sanctions for not complying with the COVID-19 health protocol (prokes). There are sanctions waiting for prokes violators.

The determination of this policy is regulated in Regent Regulation (Perbup) Number 37 of 2020 concerning 'Implementation of Health Protocol Law Enforcement Disciplines as Efforts to Prevent and Control COVID-19'.

"Sanctions for violations of the implementation of health in the prevention and control of COVID-19, for individuals, verbal and written warnings, social work in public facilities, and a fine of Rp. 50,000. Meanwhile, business actors after verbal and written warnings can be fined Rp. 200 thousand, until termination of business operations. and revocation of business licenses, "said Mustaufiq, Head of the Protocol and Communications Section of the Jeneponto Regency Government, when contacted by VOI, Monday, November 23.

The imposition of sanctions will be imposed in January 2021. Mustafiq said that the Jeneponto Regency government will continue to disseminate information through the Justisi operation.

"The local government, Satpol-PP, Dishub Jeneponto, together with the TNI-Polri have carried out several socialization and justice operations in the field in the community," he continued.

Mustaufiq explained, Perbup is intended as a guide for all people and stakeholders in implementing a new normal life order.

"So everyone must wear masks, keep their distance, wash their hands and avoid crowds," he explained.
